Format Micro SD card - v1 & v2 Logbox


If you are having difficulty with viewing and updating your Log Box, saving or viewing '*.wrl' log files it may be due to a problem with the Micro SD card, and formatting the Micro SD card may correct the problem.

Please not that this article is only valid for Log Box v1 and Log Box v2 interfaces.

Process to format the Micro SD card:

1. Put the Log Box into Data Logging mode (switch in the middle position).

2.     Connect the Log Box to the computer via the USB cable, Do NOT connect to an ECU.

3. View the Log Box in Devices and Drives, if it does not appear then you will need to remove the
        Micro SD card and format it using an external USB card reader on the computer.


4. Right Click the Logbox and go to Format.



5. Perform a Quick Format with to a FAT32 file.


6. Click 'Start' and follow all on screen prompts and now the micro SD card has been reformatted. If you receive an error and are unable to format the card, please try inserting it into an external card reader instead, and attempt the format procedure again.
