I have a COM Port Error - How to Rollback USB Drivers


The Woolich Racing Tuned software runs on a computer which communicates with the ECU using an electronic interface. There are two types of Woolich Racing communication interfaces currently available for sale, a USB v3 interface and a Log Box v3 interface.  

This article applies to all of the USB v3 interfaces as well as the Log Box D v3.  These connect to the computer (or laptop) using a USB cable, the computer then detects these device as a COM Port which enables the WRT software to use serial communication to talk to the interface.

Sometimes after a Windows update the devices are no longer detected correctly by the computer or the Woolich Racing Tuned software.  If you find yourself in this situation please do not panic as the Woolich Racing technical support team have seen these problems before.  Please open a support ticket so that we can provide you with further information to get you up and running again.
