Woolich Racing’s ‘Race Tools’ products provide your bike with additional capabilities designed for the race track.
Woolich Racing Quickshifters allow the bike to shift up in gears without needing to use the clutch or roll off the throttle by either cutting ignition or cutting fuel to the engine. The Quickshifters come in two versions, one is Quickshifter-only and uses the Woolich Strain Gauge GP Switch and the other is a Quickshifter/Autoblipper which uses the Woolich Strain Gauge GP ASG (analog strain gauge).
Woolich Strain Gauge GP Switch Quickshifter
This article is about the Quickshifter-only version (shown in the image above) and explains how to adjust the pressure required to activate the Quickshifter and initiate an engine cut to allow the gear upshift. The amount of pressure on the gear shift lever required to initiate a shift can be changed to suit rider preference. This is not done in the
Woolich Racing Tuned software and does not require flashing of the ECU. The adjustment of the shift pressure is instead performed simply by using the buttons on the Strain Gauge GP Switch Quickshifter module as follows.
1) Turn the Ignition on.
2) Hold down the right button on the Quickshifter module until the current shift pressure setting is displayed.
3) Continue to hold down the right button while also pressing the left button for approximately 5 seconds until the shift pressure setting begins to flash.
4) Use the buttons to adjust the shift pressure up or down. A higher value requires more pressure to trigger the shifter, while a lower value requires less pressure to trigger the shifter.
5) The default pressure setting is 15 but we recommend using 12 to begin with.
6) To store the setting, hold down both buttons until the display stops flashing.
